Arizona BBS Systems that you may be looking for frieds from:
TUBBS (The Unknown BBS, Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
TUBBS was a great free & pay bbs in phoenix, very popular with younger users.

CHHS (Carl Hayden High School BBS, Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
CHHS was another free bbs in phoenix, and run for a H.S. also very popular with younder users.

TRG (The Rock Garden BBS, Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
The Rock Garden BBS formerly SHO-Tron BBS was a pay board running Major BBS / Worldgroup, which was the most used BBS in the Phoenix Area of Arizona.

FLC (Flatland Center BBS, Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
Flatland Center BBS was another pay board, a bit more popular for gaming run under Major/Worldgroup, and about the same userbase as TRG. I met my best friend on this board, playing Doom2.

ACR (Arizona / Az Chattle Ranch BBS, Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
An adult + pay bbs, probably one of the coolest groups of people, had a bar GT every friday, and a house party once a month.

Garbage Dump (Multistate BBS, Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
A multistate adult pay board, very big, fairly popular, afaik they're still around.

First Online BBS (Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
A Phoenix bulletin board a friend and I ran, probably ran more netmail than any other Arizona BBS, for and for several nets through the Southwest..

DS5 (Deep Space Five BBS, Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
A cool bulletin board system a friend of mine ran, some of the best RIP Graphics around..

Wizard's Corner BBS (Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
A cool bulletin board system (Phoenix, Arizona) bbs run by another friend.. largest dialup Renegade BBS *EVER* iirc 8-11 noded.

Smoky's Place BBS (Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
A pretty kickass multiline bbs.

Silke Secrets BBS (Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
Another nice multiline bbs.. I drew an ansi for this board's login, and kinda regret making a mistake and using that same ansi elsewhere.. she (one of the ops) was really cool.. the BBS itself was pretty nice overall..

Fire & Ice BBS (Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
Probably the most popular local ADULT BBS, even if a pay board, the ops were cool, and the chat was generally active.

The Quiet Room BBS (Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
Cool one-line board, that was only up for a few years, but the messages were *always* active, with several message nets, and some active bbs door games.

Wolf's Tavern BBS (Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
Another cool one-line bbs system, that was up for a while, and passed on once or twice, it carried several message nets, and active bbs door games as well.

Southern Delight BBS (Arizona, Phoenix, 602)
Nice little AZ bbs...

Windows SyncTERM Installer
For those of you who would like a simple way to get syncterm installed in windows, I have created an installer for it, you can download the windows setup file. This will give you the option of setting it to your default telnet handler. Once you are done, you can telnet to Roughneck BBS, and play all the classic bbs door games.

Download SyncTERM Setup for windows, which will setup your default telnet handler, and give you a directory entry for this bbs. For other operating systems, you should visit the SyncTERM Website.

Telnet to Roughneck BBS in order to play all of the classic bbs door games you love. We have a lot of them setup to play. SyncTERM is the recommended telnet terminal for telnet bbsing. Download and install the windows terminal above.

Accessing This BBS
Okay, I haven't mentioned this in some time, but you can now create an account through the web interface, as well as access this site through Telnet (which will give you a classic BBS style), NNTP (allowing you to use a newsgroup program, like Outlook Exress or Thunderbird, to access the message areas on the bbs.), and IRC (giving you access to chat with other people through a regular IRC client, such as XChat or mIRC)
Get Firefox! NOTE: This site works best with Firefox...

For those of you that don't know, if you don't have bbs email setup to forward, you can use POP3 to check your email with your BBS Username and Password. This will pull both internet email, and bbs email directly. If you desire IMAP4 for bbs email, let me know... For SMTP, use the same server listed for your ISP.. :)

The BBS's message bases via NNTP using a standard news reader, works great in Outlook Express, and pretty good in Mozilla/NN7. If you need help setting up for the BBS's NNTP, let me know. Would like to see some more message activity, especially in the local areas (rdbbs.*), using a news reader is MUCH easier than the old qwk-style readers (which are also available). I am still hoping to get this website, for the BBS up and running, may put up the newuser, login, and messages/email up before I get the chat done.
